Analysis
Daily aspirin therapy: Understand the benefits and risks ( A SUMMURY )
You shouldn't start daily aspirin
therapy on your own. Your doctor might recommend aspirin after weighing the
risks and benefits.

This therapy works
by reducing the clumping action of platelets. Possibly preventing a heart
attack.
·
Your doctor may suggest daily aspirin therapy if you've
had a heart attack, or you're at high risk of having one.
·
Before starting daily aspirin therapy, you should tell
your doctor if you have a health condition that could increase your risk of
bleeding ,Aspirin allergy or Bleeding stomach ulcers
·
Your doctor will discuss what dose is
right for you. it is very important to take aspirin and any other blood
thinning medications exactly as recommended.

talk to your doctor before making any
changes. Suddenly stopping daily aspirin therapy could have a rebound effect
that may trigger a blood clot that increase your risk of heart attack.

Talk to your doctor about medication
alternatives that won't interfere with daily aspirin therapy. Taking aspirin with them can increase your bleeding
risk

possible side effects of daily aspirin
therapy are:
Stroke caused by a burst blood vessel,
digestive bleeding, Allergic reaction, Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) .

Before any surgical procedure be sure to tell the surgeon
or dentist that you take daily aspirin and how much. Otherwise you risk
excessive bleeding during surgery.

Be aware of possible drug interactions
with daily aspirin therapy.

If you think you're having a heart
attack, It's OK to chew an aspirin if your doctor has previously told you to do
so— but call 911 first.

Take Enteric-coated aspirin. It's
gentler on the stomach especially in those with a history of gastritis or
ulcers.
This therapy helps to reduce the risk of a heart attack, but still the
benefit of aspirin therapy is unclear due to ongoing Clinical studies.
