12-1: Portfolio Website Draft
Purpose
To assess your ability to apply knowledge from the course to simulated real world situations.
Action Items
- Create a portfolio website on which you post all of the final documents that comprise the course project.
- You are free to use whatever means you like for creating this website.
- Your own skills with a program such as Dreamweaver, or
- Using a blog or webhosting service such as Blogger.com or Google Sites.
- If you use a blog service, make sure that you understand how to disallow people from commenting on your blog, so you can keep it for presenting your work without distracting comments.
- Be sure to follow the guidelines for creating websites in The Technical Communication Handbook.
- Be sure to follow the checklists for setting up a Blog or Wiki in A Writer's Resource if you are using one of those formats.
- Submit a word file with the web address (url) of your site.
